Additionally, this section includes information about annual allocations, and the CFAD, including guidance and reporting requirements.

Budget Bill 2017-18 Data Request Letter

Description:

According to the 2018-19 California Budget Act requirements for the program year 2018-19, AEP member are required to submit 2017-18 program and expenditure data by program area in the NOVA system. This letter details these requirements.

CAEP Fiscal Guidance

Description:

The purpose of this guide is to specify the education code and processes used to spend California Adult Education Program (AEP) funding by regional consortia and their members. The AEP Fiscal Management Guide contains the policies and procedures for the administration of the AEP Program for the 18-19 program year. These policies and procedures are based on the AB104 legislation that created the AEP Program. However, the AB104 legislation does not supersede current K-12 adult education and community college education code and regulatory requirements. Note: this was updated in November 2018 to reflect the 2018-19 Budget Act Requirements as detailed here: https://caladulted.org/DownloadFile/652

Community College Budget and Accounting Manual

Description:

California community college districts are required by regulations (CCR §58300 et seq.) to prepare financial reports and annual budgets that report all their actual and projected revenues and expenditures on forms as provided by the Chancellor’s Office. The objective of this Budget and Accounting Manual is to facilitate compliance with this requirement by providing for a uniform fund structure, revenue and expenditure classifications, and other accounting procedures for the consistent and comparable reporting of financial data by all community college districts.

Expense Reporting Due Dates

Description:

K-12 and County Office California School Accounting Manual

Description:

Section 41010 of the Education Code requires local educational agencies (LEAs) to follow the definitions, instructions, and procedures in the California School Accounting Manual. The manual provides accounting policies and procedures, as well as guidance in implementing those policies and procedures.
