CCCCO MIS Link

Description:

California Community College Districts (CCDs) are required to use the Chancellor’s Office Management Information System (MIS) to enter their adult learner demographics, barriers, and program outcome information. (See enclosed FAQs on MIS reporting).

Community Colleges use this tool to input student data for their CAEP programs.

Note: CCDs that receive WIOA II funding for services under the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (AEFLA) are required to collect and report adult learner demographics, barriers, and program outcomes for their WIOA II funded programs and students using TOPSpro® Enterprise. In addition, CCDs receiving WIOA II funding must enter all adult learner demographics, barriers, and program outcomes into their MIS system. Finally, CCDs that are WIOA Title II grantees will continue to collect and report CASAS assessment results using TOPSpro® Enterprise.

Launchboard

Description:

The LaunchBoard, a statewide data system supported by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office and hosted by Cal-PASS Plus, provides data on the effectiveness of college programs in both CTE and non-CTE pathways. This information is intended to facilitate local, regional, and statewide conversations about how to foster student success and economic mobility. Launchboard includes the Community College Pipeline and the Adult Education Pipeline. The Community College Pipeline is used to see the phases of students’ journeys through community college, with information on college offerings, student characteristics, milestones, success, employment, earnings, and labor market information. The Adult Education Pipeline provides similar information on K-12 and community college adult education participants. Use Launchboard to gain a holistic view of students and their progress through educational institutions and into theworkforce. It expands upon data available in the Chancellor’s Office MIS system and TOPSpro by pulling from additional data sources including employment and earnings records, responses to the CTE Outcomes Survey, labor market information, and adult education records from CASAS.

National Reporting System for Adult Education

Description:

The National Reporting System (NRS) is the accountability system for the federally funded, State-administered adult education program. It embodies the accountability requirements of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA, the Act) for the adult education and literacy program (Title II) and reporting under WIOA. The NRS is the framework that guides the CAEP metrics. The majority of consortium members use the NRS tools and the CAEP metrics are very closely aligned to this system. The CAEP pre/post-testing for CAEP measurable skill gains is based on this system.

How to Use it:

Learn more about the NRS, adult education data management, ways to use data to improve adult learning opportunities, and training and technical assistance available.
